Congratulations to Chad Grundemann, Project Manager, and the entire design team on winning the 2017 ACEC/WisDOT Excellence in Highway Design Award in the category of Best Rural Project by a Consultant for the WIS 54 and County U Intersection project.  Improved safety and stress-free driving are exemplified by this intersection, accomplished by reducing angle crashes and weaving. This J-turn is the first of its kind to include user friendly auxiliary lanes, allowing drivers to turn directly into the lane needed and avoid stressful acceleration and high speed lane changes.

Infrastructure construction continues on the Fox Ridge Subdivision in the Village of Kronenwetter. Becher Hoppe's Construction Project Representative Joe Kafczynski is on site with the crew installing sanitary sewer and watermain piping. There was a lot of rock excavation and high groundwater throughout the project, keeping Joe on his toes!
